Holy City Pergolas ("we", "us", "our") respects your privacy. This policy explains what personal information we collect, why we collect it, how we use and store it, and the choices you have. It also covers data we receive when you message us through Facebook Messenger or Instagram Direct.

1. Information we collect

• Information you provide: name, email, phone number, address, project details, photos, and any messages you send us via our contact form, booking form, kitchen checklist, email, phone, SMS, Facebook Messenger, or Instagram Direct.
• Facebook & Instagram messaging data: when you message our Facebook Page or Instagram Business account, Meta forwards the message content, your public profile name, profile picture, and Meta-scoped user ID to our secure admin inbox so we can reply.
• Automatically collected information: IP address, browser type, device type, referring URL, and pages viewed, via standard analytics cookies.
• Google Reviews: we display publicly available review content from our Google Business Profile.

2. How we use your information

• Respond to inquiries and messages across all channels.
• Schedule consultations, prepare estimates, and manage projects.
• Send contracts, invoices, and project-related communications.
• Send an automated reply directing you to our contact form or booking page (Facebook/Instagram DMs only, once per 24 hours).
• Improve our website and services.

3. How we store and protect it

Data is stored in a secure, access-controlled database hosted in the United States. Access is limited to Holy City Pergolas team members who need it to serve you. We use encryption in transit (HTTPS) and at rest.

4. Sharing

We do not sell or rent your personal information. We share it only with service providers that help us operate (e.g., hosting, email delivery, Google Calendar, Meta Platforms for Messenger/Instagram replies, and Grasshopper for our business phone and SMS line) and only as needed to deliver the service you requested, or when required by law.

When you call or text 843-428-6800, your phone number, call/message metadata, voicemail recordings, and message content are processed by Grasshopper (our business phone provider) so we can route calls, store voicemails, and reply by text. Grasshopper's handling of that data is governed by their own privacy policy.

5. Retention

We retain contact and project records for as long as needed to serve you and to meet legal, tax, and warranty obligations (typically up to 7 years). Facebook and Instagram message threads are retained for up to 2 years unless you request earlier deletion.

6. Your rights

You can request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information at any time. To request deletion of data we received through Facebook or Instagram, see our Data Deletion Instructions.

7. Children

Our services are not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect data from them.

8. Changes

We may update this policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date above will reflect the most recent revision.
